IMPORTANT LICENSING NOTICE
The USB dongle (security key) shown to the left is the license for your software.
Generally, the license that is held internally to the dongle is set to run until 2099 for completed purchases.
The value of the software is vested in this dongle and can be worth many thousands of dollars. If the dongle is faulty, it can be replaced for a nominal fee - however if it is lost it is assumed it could also be stolen or is still in use. We have experienced situations where a PC (or Server) has been recycled and the dongle along with it. It is imperative that care is taken to ensure the dongle is not disposed of.
PLEASE KEEP THIS DONGLE SAFE AND CONSIDER INSURANCE IN CASE OF LOSS.
Details on the terms of use for the software products we provide are included in the software installation process. You must agree to the terms in the End User License Agreement (EULA) prior to actual use. Below is an excerpt as of March 2023*:
4. The client accepts that the license (dongle or hardware license) delivered by Camtek GmbH protects the software against unauthorized use. In the event of a loss of the dongle or hardware, the client agrees that the system can no longer be used and a new dongle or hardware license has to purchased from Camtek GmbH.
5. The client accepts that the license (dongle or hardware license) delivered by Camtek Software LLC or its partners protects the software against unauthorized use. In the event of a loss of the dongle or hardware, the client agrees that the system can no longer be used and a new license (dongle or hardware license) has to be purchased from Camtek Software LLC or one of its partners.
Your dongle may be shipped with a label similar to that shown to the left. This contains a QR code that directs to this webpage. We recommend you do not remove this label as it helps to identify its purpose and discern it from other less important USB keyboard/mouse devices that can look similar.
